- Open Microsoft Word (or equivalent word processor with web page capabilities such
as OpenOffice Writer).
- Enter and format the required text.
- Save the document for later editing.
- Select “Preview Web Page” (or equivalent) from the File menu.
- The text will open in a web browser window.
- Select “View Source” (or equivalent) from the View menu.
- The HTML (web language) source will open in a new window.
- Right Click on the text and select “Select All” from the drop-down menu.
- Right Click on the highlighted text and select “Copy” from the drop-down menu.
- Right Click in the page Edit Block in the Admin Section.
- Select “Paste” from the drop down menu.
- The copied text will appear in the Edit Block.
- Click on the Update Page button.
- The following message should appear at the top of the page: “Page has been updated!
Please make a selection from the Menu!”.
- Check the text and layout in the public section of the website.
NOTE:
Certain punctuation marks do not travel well between different programs. Should you
see weird characters, return to the edit page and search the text until you locate
them; correct the unusual characters and update the page.
